In a post-September 11th world terrorism seems to a thought on everyone’s minds. The news is consistently flooded with warning of bomb threats in schools and workplaces. Emergency responders need to be properly trained to recognize, react and respond to potential or actual threats due to Improvised Explosive Devices or IEDs and Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices or VBIEDs.
If emergency responders do not handle these situations carefully and correctly their lives and the lives of others in the area could be put at risk. The Video On Demand course, IEDs and VBIEDs presents learners with in-depth information on the components of an IED, terrorist profiles and examples of targets of these types of attacks. Scene safety, pre-detonation response and post-detonation response are also explored.
Help prepare emergency response crews for the unknown with training to handle a situation involving IEDs or VBIEDs.
